European Heritage Open Days (EHOD) is an annual celebration of local architecture, history, and culture. This year, the European-wide theme is “Architectural Heritage: Past Structure, Future Connections.” Events across Europe will take place on the weekend of 13–14 September 2025, with over 300 heritage buildings and events opening free of charge. Many of these sites are not normally open to the public, making this a fantastic opportunity to explore local history.
As part of EHOD 2025, we are delighted to open Culmore Fort to the local community. Visitors can explore the fascinating history of this unique site and see the outstanding conservation work carried out by Mark Hackett Architects and We Build Ireland.
Come and experience the history and heritage of Culmore Fort – we look forward to welcoming you!
