The Four Corners Project

The Four Corners Project is funded through the Big Lottery Fund ‘People and Communities Programme’ and is a Culmore Community Partnership (CCP) community development initiative, developed in response to the priority needs identified by local residents within Culmore. The title derives from Culmore’s Irish root-name CúilMór, meaning “the great corner” and the Four Corners Project aims to address need in all “four corners” (or every part) of Culmore through its four programmes which will be delivered from Culmore Community Hub. These include:

Tuned In Programme – a youth forum that engages with local young people to develop and deliver activities based on their needs;

Leading Lights Programme – a weekly social programme for the over 50’s designed to provide social opportunities, health & wellbeing support, history & heritage and days out.

Culmore Connection Programme – involves the coordination and delivery of outreach services at the Hub including welfare advice, health and well-being checks and training and employment assistance.

Culmore Affinity Programme – is a history, culture and arts programme celebrating Culmore’s long and rich history and its current diversity through various arts, media and events, including the Culmore Festival.

We need your help to deliver the Four Corners project, if you have some free time we’d love it if you could join us as a volunteer. We have lots of different roles available. We are really interested in hearing from people who are new to volunteering in Culmore. We will provide training and support for all of our volunteers to make sure you get the most from your involvement.
