Following months of renovation work Culmore Community Partnership is pleased to welcome all the community to the Culmore Community Hub at Victoria Hall, Culmore Point.
CCP’s Chairperson Neil Doherty said ‘Victoria Hall has a long history in our Community but in recent years it had become very run down and neglected. The CCP Board with support from local residents and groups has worked tirelessly to provide a Hub for community activities for the people of Culmore. We have had lots of help and support along the way and would like to thank The Honourable The Irish Society for leasing us the premises. ’ The extensive renovation work was part funded under Priority 6 (LEADER) of the Northern Ireland Rural Development Programme 2014-2020 by the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs and the European Union, Derry City & Strabane District Council, Department for Communities and Northside Development Trust. Neil also highlighted the work of the community , he said ‘Special thanks also to all the local people who have campaigned over the years to provide community support and services in Culmore. We look forward to welcoming all of these groups to the Culmore Community Hub over the coming months.’
